In the 1980s, as the sacred temples of Wudang reopened after decades of closure, the mountain faced a crucial moment. During this time, Shifu Wang was part of the new generation of future masters that received the direct transmission of the returning masters. He became the bridge between the past and the future. Under his guidance, the tradition did not just survive; it evolved. Later, he passed this ancient knowledge to a new generation of disciples, two of whom are women, who would become the masters leading the school today.

This is the living proof of continuity: an unbroken chain of transmission that goes from the legendary masters of the past, through the devoted guardianship of Shifu Wang, to the women who now run the school. They are the heirs of that 800-year legacy, and they are the ones keeping it alive today.

“Voices from the mountain”

“Training in Wudang changed my life. The discipline, the masters, the mountain… it’s an experience you can’t put into words. I came for two weeks and stayed for three months.” — Sarah, USA

I was looking for authentic Kung Fu, not a tourist show. The direct transmission from the masters here is real. It’s hard work, but it’s the real thing.”
— Lucas, Germany
